Full-Service Grooming for Dogs and Cats

Velvet Bow provides a complete grooming experience tailored to your pet’s breed, coat condition, and temperament. Their groomers are trained to handle all types of pets, including senior animals and those with special needs.

Grooming packages typically include:

  • Bath and Blow Dry: With coat-specific shampoos and conditioners
  • Haircut or Trim: Custom styling or breed-standard cuts
  • Nail Trimming and Ear Cleaning: Included in every full-service groom
  • Brush-Outs: To reduce shedding and prevent matting

Appointments are available for all dog sizes and most cat breeds. Their team focuses on safety, comfort, and reducing stress during every session.

Mobile Grooming That Comes to You

Velvet Bow’s mobile grooming van is a convenient solution for pet owners with limited time, pets who dislike car rides, or animals who feel anxious in unfamiliar environments. The mobile unit is fully equipped with grooming tools, warm water, and climate control, allowing for a professional groom right at your doorstep.

This service is especially useful for:

  • Senior pets or those with mobility issues
  • Busy families or professionals
  • Multi-pet households
  • Pets prone to anxiety in busy salons

Mobile grooming is by appointment only and may have a waitlist, so advance booking is encouraged.

A Tucson Business Built on Trust

Operating for over 40 years, Velvet Bow has served generations of Tucson pet owners. Their longevity in the community is a reflection of their consistent service, experienced staff, and genuine love for animals.

Their credentials include:

Is Your Pet Ready for Grooming?

Most pets benefit from regular grooming, but frequency depends on coat type, lifestyle, and health status. Velvet Bow’s groomers can recommend a schedule tailored to your pet’s needs, whether they’re a short-haired Chihuahua or a long-coated Persian.

It’s also important to consider your pet’s comfort and health. If your dog or cat is struggling with age-related issues or behavioral changes, this guide on deciding when it’s time to reevaluate your pet’s quality of life may offer thoughtful support as you plan future care.

Scheduling and Availability

Appointments are required for both in-salon and mobile grooming services. Walk-ins are not accepted due to the personalized nature of care. Current vaccination records are required, and pets with known medical issues should be discussed with staff during booking.

Both locations offer convenient parking and flexible appointment times throughout the week. The mobile unit serves select areas of Tucson, depending on demand and availability.

"I can’t begin to say enough nice things about Dr. Miller, her demeanor and her professionalism. My beloved cat Van was in the final stages of debilitating malignant thyroid tumors that left him unable to eat and drink in his final days. Dr. Miller’s service of coming to the house to help Van peacefully pass was a relief. Dr. Miller’s comforting actions with Van and her reassurances to me helped make what was already a horrific experience as bearable as possible under the circumstances."
"Dear Dr. Miller, Robbie and I want to thank you for all you kind and gentle care of Chessie, even though you didn’t know her. We feel like you were a special angel sent to make this time a little easier. I wish we had known you longer. Thank you again and God Bless you."
